Dallas Israel Teen Tour Scholarship Application 2022
Scholarship deadline: Please complete this form and the required documents by February 15, 2022.
Income guidelines: Our committee gives every consideration to each eligible application and its related circumstances. While we do take into account each family’s situation and not only their income, families earning in excess of $140,000 are not likely to be awarded scholarships, unless there are extenuating circumstances, which must be clearly explained in the application.
Your completed electronic application (see below) must:
1. Be filled out completely and signed by both the parent/guardian and the applicant.
2. Include the first page of the most recent 1040 for the household.
3. Include a written statement by the applicant on why this trip is important to them.
**Applications with incomplete information or missing forms will not be submitted to our committee for consideration**
Other important information:
1. The Israel Scholarship Committee and Scholarship Application process is a partnership between the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation and the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.
2. Please review the application form before completing to make sure you have all the information you need to complete the form. The application needs to be completed in ONE SITTING as the information cannot be saved.
3. To maintain confidentiality, families with more than one teen applying for scholarship funding, MUST COMPLETE ONE FORM FOR EACH TEEN. The electronic application must be completed in full to be considered.
4. Scholarships for the full amount of the program will not be granted. Applicants are encouraged to seek out other sources of funding in addition to these funds.
5. Parents are expected to make appropriate contributions to the cost of the program for their children.
6. The Israel Scholarship Committee will make the final decisions on the awarding of scholarships after assessing each applicant’s situation on an individual basis and with no comparison to the other applicants.
7. Please be aware that this is an application for consideration and not a guarantee or promise of funding.
8. All the information requested for the electronic application is treated with the strictest confidentiality. Names and all identifying information are not included in any materials submitted to the Israel Scholarship Committee.
9. If an award is made to an applicant, the Federation asks recipients to keep all information on the award, including the amount, strictly confidential.
10. Each award is made based on multiple factors and in no way indicates the awards made to other applicants.
11. All scholarship awards are directly credited toward a participant's outstanding balance, with any remaining balance still due March 1, 2022.

The Stephen F. Black Memorial Israel Teen Tour Scholarship Fund and the Israel Teen Tour Scholarship Fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation was established to ensure that teens would not be denied the ability to attend Israel Teen Tour because of financial hardship. We are pleased to assist the Federation in sending Dallas youth to Israel using these scholarships above.
